Martyn Guest and Christine Kitchen from the Daresbury Lab
distributed computing (DISCO) group presented a day long seminar
covering many aspects of the performance of large computing
clusters which need to be taken into account during procurement.
The event was attended by about 20 people from various schools in
CSE and CMVM. The event was very informal with many questions.
The goal was for Edinburgh staff to benefit from the experience of the
DISCO group in order to help us in future procurements.
