3D-OPT-MG II Project Status meeting Report 3rd April 2003 e-Science Institute The 3-D Optical Microscopy Grid II project is a collaboration between EPCC/NeSC and the MRC Human Genetics Unit to demonstrate the benefits of Grid technologies and high performance computing to biological research. The project commenced in November 2002 and has a twelve month duration. As a successor to the original 3-D Optical Microscopy Grid, this project aims to build on the experience and successes achieved during the first effort (see http://www.epcc.ed.ac.uk/mousegrid/ for more details). As part of the project management process, the partners hold bi-monthly status (closed) meetings, allowing all members of the team to get together to review progress and events---the meeting on 3rd April in eSI is one such meeting.
