The Effect of Dividend Payout Policy to Mutual Fund
Performance

Since the Financial Tsunami in 2008, many countries implement the Quantitative Easing
Monetary Policy. The investors start to rearrange their capital from monetary market to the
higher yield commodity, especially the dividend fund. This paper mainly analyzes the
relationship between the performance and the payout pattern of the dividend fund in Taiwan.
Besides, the study further compares the performance between the dividend fund and the
accumulate fund via four performance indicators. The results show that the dividend payout
frequency significantly affects the fund performance.
