Bus Washing Services

1. How many buses are we washing per week; and is it still three times a week?
The number of buses washed per week can vary depending on the circumstances
(whether, construction, etc.). However, the maximum number of buses washed per week
will be seventy-two (72) over a three day period.
2. Is there a designated area that this work is performed?
Yes, if you are interested in seeing the area, you may visit the CLT Center at 5601
Wilkinson Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28208, and ask for Dave Edwards.
3. Will water be provided at no cost to the contractor?
Yes.
4. Will contractor employees have access to moving the buses?
No.
5. Will the Airport provide a storage area for the contractor’s supplies and
equipment?
No.
6. Is there an electrical hook up at the washing area?
Yes.
7. How many water drains are there in the washing area?
One (1).
8. When should the bus log be submitted; and how long does it take to pay on invoice?
Weekly with the day of the week to be determined by the Ground Transportation
Manager.
Per Section 5 of the contract, “Payment of invoices shall be due within thirty (30) days
after the City has received all of the following: (a) an accurate, properly submitted
invoice, (b) all reports due for the month covered by the invoice; and (c) any other
information reasonably requested by the City to verify the charges contained in the
invoice.”
9. Are the calculations for each bus be washed once a week for a year?
Please give the cost for one (1) (each) bus (exterior/interior) for each corresponding year
on the pricing sheet.
Example: if the cost to wash the exterior of one Eldorado National E-Z Rider II for the
first year is $2.00, then the amount in UNIT PRICE PER BUS FOR YEAR 1

10. Is the wash area located outdoors or in a covered facility?
Outdoors.
11. During inclement weather conditions, will the contractor be permitted to perform
bus washing services in the Airport maintenance garage?
No.
