In his latest book, The Law of the Land, Yale University Professor Akhil Amar argues that the U.S. Constitution
looks slightly different in California than it does in Kansas. He illustrates how geography, federalism and
regionalism have influenced some of the biggest questions in American constitutional law. Join us as Professor Amar
discusses his latest work and presents a special lecture on how the Constitution also differs in Missouri.
Professor Amar is widely considered one of the preeminent constitutional law scholars in the world and his work
has been cited in more than 30 U.S. Supreme Court cases. He has published numerous law review articles and
books on the U.S. Constitution.
