To investigate facilitators’ views of the programme and their observations on approaches to maximising impact Study Primary Objective: To assess the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of the Families for Health (FFH) Programme in the treatment of overweight and obesity in 6-11 year olds compared to usual care, as measured by the reduction in BMI z-scores at one year post recruitment Number of Patients Needed: 120 families across Coventry , South Warwickshire and Wolverhampton Practice Involvement in the Study: Practices to identify eligible children via a clinical system search on relevant BMI’s Mail out invitation information to parents/guardians of eligible children Study Team Involvement in the Study: Responsible for all organisation of the `Families for Health’ programmes Inclusion criteria Families with at least one overweight (>91st centile for BMI) or very overweight (>98th centile for BMI) child aged 6-11 years.
