The speaker teaches International Relations at the
School of Politics, International Relations and
Philosophy at Keele University, United Kingdom, and
is the editor of the scholarly journal Politics, Religion
& Ideology. Educated at the Universities of
Buckingham, Durham and Cambridge, he is the author
of several works, including The New
Politics of Islam: Pan-Islamic Foreign Policy in a World
of States (Routledge) and Saudi State, Wahhabi
World: The Globalization of Muslim Radicalism
(Praeger). He has held fellowships at Harvard, Hosei
(Tokyo) and Notre Dame, and has presented papers to
academic, policy and activist communities in Europe,
North America and Asia.
