ATIS IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF)
Dr. Wright has been working, for more than 25 years, in the communications industry; in Australia,
UK, Belgium and USA; with companies such as Plessey, GTE, Alcatel, Fujitsu, and, currently,
BellSouth. His current responsibilities are within the Architecture & Emerging Technology
department at BellSouth where he is concerned with the application of emerging technologies on
BellSouth’s infrastructure and services. He holds a B.Eng.(Elec.) degree from the University of
Southern Queensland, Australia, an M.B.A (Marketing) from Arizona State University, and
M.S.(Computer Information Systems) from Boston University and a PhD (Computer Engineering)
from North Carolina State University. His standards activities have included contributions to the
ATIS, ATM Forum and IETF committees. He has published more than 10 refereed articles in
conferences and journals, and he holds one US patent. He has been a significant contributor to the
ATIS NGN Focus Group and is co-chair of the Architecture Task Force of the ATIS IPTV
Interoperability Forum.
