Saturn TWT - meeting # 8, 15 Oct 01, 11:00-12:30 PDT meet-me line 818-354-5157 Led by Kevin Baines, with Dan Winterhalter, Jerod Gross, Scott Edgington Reported by Ian S. Agenda: (1) "flesh out" plan for revs 7,8,10,11,12 (2) work on rev 9 / revs 7, 8, 10 trade with Rings TWT Rev 6: ISS, RSS, UVIS (ie Bob W.) still need to clean up CIMS inputs Rev 7: move UVIS EUVFUV ~ 2 hrs earlier to end at beginning of GS pass (2005-125), shift ISS Titan 1x1s to bracket UVIS. Fill gap between end of ISS Saturn 1x2s & beginning of Titan 1x1 with: OPNAV, ISS mutual event (2 satellites in 1 frame, for ephemerides improvement). Rev 8: CIRS prime, 22 hrs, N-S scans on central meridian w/FarIR sensors (ie co-aligned w/other ORS), 1 hemisphere per rotation; +X to nep. Move Madrid DL (05-142) earlier to enable UVIS Dione stellar occ (for ephemerides purposes). OpNav really wants Rhea (05-142/06:30) accept this. Note: data volumes - CIRS 4 kbps, 15 UVIS 1 kbps, 40 OpNav 15 Mb per MAPS survey 350 Mb/hr, 320 Mb total Mb / 11 hrs opportunity (1 image) Mb/day Rev 10 - UVIS EUVFUV prime. Delete ISS mutual event (05-179) which conflicts; same for first ISS Saturn 1x2. ISS should get its Saturn 1x2s and its Satorbs to interleave. Accept the OpNav Hyperion (05-179/12) & the ENGR DSAT (same day), after moving it to avoid UVIS prime. Rev 9 trade: Saturn TWT has given 34 hours to Rings in exchange for a busy Hyperion-intensive time period on Rev 9. Kevin will work on ISS & CIRS to increase their picket-fence spacing (x2? more?) so that some Saturn stuff can be incorporated. Propose to Cross-D TWT that Saturn TWT extend its jurisdiction at least to 05-162/21 or even until end of GS DL (05-163/03); then observe thru GS DL on 05-161, downlink everything over GS on 05-162. Note: Saturn & Hyperion are many degs apart, 15-25 min slews each way. Next meetings - #9, Revs 11 & 12; #10, begin next set of revs.
