Marianna Goldhammer (marianna.goldhammer@alvarion.com) was the R&D Manager and Product
Manager of BreezeCOM’s BreezeACCESS line of products, innovating the WLL market with IP based,
access products. Her actual position is Director for Strategic Technologies, with Alvarion.
Marianna is involved in ETSI HiperMAN (Acting Chair) and IEEE 802.16 and 802.20, for fixed and
mobile systems, and in ITU-R for regulatory activities.
Her main success is the unification of IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN OFDM interoperability
standards. The OFDM mode is now known as WiMAX mode.
Marianna received a M.S. in Electronics from the Polytechnic Institute, Bucharest, Romania.
