TO ALL STUDENTS Professor Jon M. Sands, Adjunct Professor at Law, who teaches courses in Trial Advocacy and Federal Criminal Practice and Procedure at the College of Law, Arizona State University, will be visiting Malta between 4th and 8th February, 2013. With the assistance of the U.S. Embassy Valletta, Professor Sands will speak on the subject of "Defending a Federal Conspiracy Case” to the Department of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Laws. The lecture, which will be chaired by the undersigned, will be delivered on Thursday, 7th February 2013, between 2.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. Venue: GW Hall E Professor Sands has been the Federal Public Defender for the District of Arizona since 2003, and has worked in that office since 1987. He teaches courses in Trial Advocacy and Federal Criminal Practice and Procedure at the College of Law. Professor Sands has served as Special Counsel to the United States Sentencing Commission, and prior to joining the Federal Public Defender's Office, he was with the Phoenix law firm of Meyer, Hendricks, Victor, Osborn and Maledon. Professor Sands is a former president of the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. All students are invited to attend especially LL.D. II Year students.
