TIA and Cyber Security
TIA DEL
Fostering worldwide interoperability
Overview (1)
TIA does not have a Technical Group specifically working
on “Cyber Security.”
At TIA cyber security is just part of SECURITY and thus that
technical area was covered in the TIA Contribution PLEN008 on Security and Lawful Interception
However the issue of Cyber Security is currently a hot topic
in USA, from Industry, Regulatory, and Legislative
perspectives

Cyber security ties into several Standards Panels at ANSI
that TIA and TIA members participate on such as the ANSI
HSSP, ANSI IDSP, and ANSI HITSP from Security, ID Theft
and Privacy Perspectives, and other initiatives in the USA
such as “Smart Grid,” and Process Control or SCADA
Systems.

on President Obama’s 60-day Cyber
Study Group’s review efforts

Recommendation 5.4 of that NSTAC report dealt with
STANDARDS
In May 2009 NSTAC approved a report
to President Obama on “Cybersecurity
Collaboration.”
