Public Defender Emerald currently serves as an Assistant Public Defender for the Orange County Public Defenders office. She graduated from CMC in 2006 with degrees in government & film. After college, she taught English in Korea on a Fulbright grant. Emerald later earned a masters degree in human rights law from the University of Cape Town, while serving as a Rotary Ambassadorial scholar, and a J.D. from Washington & Lee School of Law in Lexington, VA. Eve Filip ’01, Deputy General Counsel Eve serves as a Deputy General Counsel with the Rubicon Project in Playa Vista, CA. In this role, she is the chief lawyer and source of legal support for the organization. In prior roles, Eve worked as an Associate General Counsel for both Sony Pictures Entertainment and with Ascent Media. Eve graduated with her B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, & Economics from CMC. She went on to study International Human Rights Law at Central European University and earn her J.D. in Law from Columbia Law School. Hon. Suzanne Segal ‘82, Chief Magistrate Judge Suzanne serves as the Chief Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California. In this role, she provides leadership and oversight to the Central District of California Magistrate Judges. Previously, Suzanne served as a Magistrate Judge and worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division. Suzanne graduated with a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College. She went on to earn her J.D. in Law from Cornell Law School. Elenor Taylor ’81, Adjunct Professor Elenor serves as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies at Kaplan University’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She facilitates online courses, real-time discussions, and assesses written assignments for the program. Previously, Elenor has worked as an instructor and has served as the Director of Alumni Relations, both at CMC. Elenor graduated with a B.A. in Political Science & Religion from Claremont McKenna College. She went on to earn her J.D. in Law from the George Washington University Law School.
