Ideally, experience of working within a manufacturing environment, although a general appreciation of engineering is sufficient.
This is an online course accessible through the internet, requiring basic registration.
Approximately 5 hours online learning + application in the workplace.
Description of Course:
This free online course has been developed by the Craftsmanship project team, as part of the Premium Automotive Research and Development (PARD) programme at The University of Warwick.
Each participant can undertake the course at their own pace, over a period of time under their own control. After each discrete section there is a straightforward quiz designed to assess what has been learned.
The course covers three important and related subjects:
1.
Fixtures
2.
Measurement systems and reporting
3.
Customer perspective auditing
Objective:
By the end of the course participants will have a strong understanding of the roles played by fixturing, quality auditing, measurement systems and component inspection. They will be able to apply this knowledge to new and existing products and programmes, and be able to fully participate in, and potentially lead, the implementation of the quality processes discussed.
