Employee Work Station Evaluation
Chair Position Evaluation:
A-1 ” Seat back should support lumbar region of back.
A-2 ” Arm rest should support the forearms with shoulders relaxed.
A-3 ” The feet should be flat on the floor, or a foot rest may be used if needed.
Keyboard Evaluation:
B-1 ” Adjust keyboard to be slightly below elbow height.
B-2 ” Reduce reach to the mouse, keep mouse close.
Evaluation of CPU and Monitor Placement:
C-1 ” Monitor should be 18" to 28" away from eyes.
C-2 ” Place monitor directly in front of employee.
C-3 ” Screen should be free of glare.
Reaching Assessment:
” Telephone
” Mouse
Should be as close as possible, to avoid any reaching/ make sure
to locate phone on side of dominant hand.
Should be close to keyboard/ same height as keyboard.
” Materials Make sure all papers, documents, files, are close as possible to
employee to avoid reaching.
Lighting:
” Review for glare on monitor / work area should be well lighted.
