at the edge The Art of Invention A very large historic Kodak camera is one of the creations of sculptor Daniel A. Henderson, a longtime friend of NJIT who’s also a noted inventor and entrepreneur with 26 patents for innovative telecommunications technology to his credit. A sixfoot telephone and comparably oversized radio and TV set from the middle of the twentieth century are among Henderson’s creations as well. Henderson fashions his work from marble, a host of metals, wood and other materials. It is intended to inspire contemplation of technological creativity – and how key technological advances of the past hundred years have changed our lives in ways both positive and, possibly, negative.
