March 31, 2014 New Career Development Certificate Programs Human Resources is pleased to announce two new career development certificate programs for UCDHS employees: Administrative Assistant Academy (AAA) created for all Admins, HUSC, MOSC as well as employees interested in transitioning to an administrative role. Analyst Performance Development Program (APD) geared to Admins III and Analyst I, II, III ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ACADEMY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (COURSE CODE 08284) Through a combination of instructor led facilitated DVD sessions and on-line training this certificate program is designed to be applicable to all UCDHS units while focusing on key areas of administrative skill development (1) Enhancing employee communication skills to foster collaborative working relationships; (2) Preparing employee for career success/advancement by establishing critical thinking, problem solving, and goal setting skills to increase workplace effectiveness; (3) Setting core competencies in reading and writing to close skills gaps in comprehension, grammar, and business writing; and (4) Providing "UCDHS office technology baseline" understanding Participants must attend all 8 ILT sessions and complete the 6 eCourses in this series offering to receive an AAA Program Certificate. This program coursework will provide ICs with the strategies to successfully address project/program management as well as integrating these skills into their daily business operations.
