Vicki Nelson-Hollis CSUF 1981, 1994 My Name is Vicki Nelson-Hollis. I was born in Long Beach California I am the middle child of three children, and the product of a divided family. I was the first to go away to college, the only nurse in the family and the only to receive not only my BSN, but also my MSN. I received both degrees from CSUF, one in 1981 and the other in 1994. I was part of the first class to graduate in the new football stadium. I was in the last group of nurses to receive a Masters in Nursing Education. I started as an RN at Fresno Community, on the oncology unit. After marriage and my first child, I became a labor and delivery nurse at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. I have been a part of EMC’s labor and delivery staff for 23 years. I also spent 18 years as a full time nursing instructor at Modesto Junior College. I taught advanced medical /surgical nursing and leadership. I recently became a certified legal nurse consultant and am hoping to open my own business in the near future. I would love to some day join the nursing staff at CSUF! I have a son who graduated from West Point and is currently serving his military duty. He is a big Bulldog fan! I have a daughter in college, working on a counseling degree and my youngest daughter is in high school and plans to attend CSUF in 2 years. My children's father is also a CSUF graduate. GO BULLDOGS
