RealScape
: Three dimensional digital mapping support system
RealScape series is made up from three systems
■ Stereo Processing System :
To computer-process all the pixels in aerial photographs to three dimensional data in order to
measure the height of terrain and building precisely.
■ Shape Difference Detection System :
To automatically detect the changes in hight by comparing the new and old photographs and
find out the newly constructed buildings, dismantled buildings and so on.
■ Ground Hight Simple Calculation System :
To create terrain models by utilizing the three dimensional data and add contours on the map.

The main damage of the earthquake is caused by Secondary Waves
(S- waves). Earthquake Early Warning is the Technology that detecting
& calculating the epicenter and the scale of the earthquake from the
Primary Waves (P-waves), and alarm the warning a certain time (a few
to ten and a few seconds) ahead of the arrival of the S-waves.
When earthquake occurs, minor initial
tremor (Primary Wave) is detected
firstly, then a large tremor (Secondary
wave) spreads.

National Early Warning System (J-ALERT)
The National early warning system (J-ALERT) is a system that transmits high-priority
emergency information, such as earthquake early warning, tsunami information and armed
attack information, from Fire and Disaster Management Agency (FDMA) to City office via
satellite.
Then the information are informed to residents by using disaster prevention radio system for
broadcasting, e-mail (mobile phone or PC) quickly and precisely.

Learning from the Great East Japan Earthquake
<Lessons for strong information communication in disasters>
Support for unexpected situation like infrastructural
damages
・ Communication functionality is maintained by rearranging routes flexibly
・ Securing data integrity
Support for wide areas beyond administrative districts
・ Securing of agency services such as wide area assistance for distant staff
members
・ Securing ways to communicate with wide area evacuees
Prompt and accurate understanding of whole situation
・ Central consolidation of diversified data that lies scattered in every place and
organization
・ Arranging events in chronological order and grasping the situation accurately
based on data
Transmission of accurate information to disaster site
・ Transmission of accurate information to the staff working on disaster site
・ Transmission of information to citizens for appropriate actions

Concept of New Disaster information communication system
<Resilient Disaster information communication system model>
.
When there is an unexpected situation, timely and accurate information as
well as a network which is flexible to connect, helps in reinforcement of
cooperation and self help activities in citizens and, also helps in assistance of staff
members at the disaster site who are supported by the system of wide area
assistance

Concept of New Disaster Information Communication System Model
Strong Disaster information communication system model for disasters
The new model has latest technology and it effectively uses the complete set up of system. This
results in providing the means of receiving and transmitting concrete information in which
configuration can be changed flexibly, and also helps in making judgment.

Enhanced MANET OLSR routing protocol:
Routing information exchange is limited to relay nodes.
Protocol is optimized to narrow band communication
channel through information compression and dynamic
signaling depending on mobility speeds.
