News Contact: Gina De Young asi-studentassistant1@csufresno.edu 559.278.2656 Ex: 8861 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 28, 2015 El Dorado Park Halloween Carnival (FRESNO, Calif) The El Dorado Park Community Leaders will host the third annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Carnival located in the El Dorado Park community at Wesley United Methodist Church Saturday, October 31st from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Fresno State ASI partners with the community every year to provide volunteer coverage and event support. The event will feature a costume contest, face painting, bounce houses, pumpkin decorating, games, food, and candy for the residents, families, and children of El Dorado Park. This event is made possible by several contributors including Wesley United Methodist Church, Building Neighborhood Capacity Program, District Four Councilmember Paul Caprioglio’s office, and the Boys and Girls Club of Fresno County. The main event of the evening is a ‘trunk or treat’ activity at 5:30 p.m. creating a fun and safe opportunity for neighborhood children to get candy this Halloween season. Volunteers bringing the trunks of candy will be able to enter into a contest to win a $200 donation to the charity of their choice and bragging rights for the best decorated trunk. The event is free and open to the public. Fresno State students who are members of on campus clubs, organizations, and members of the Greek community will volunteer alongside the community members and ASI leaders to run the games and activities booths.
