• Major in theatre and enroll in at least one theatre course each semester
• Work on at least one production during the year the scholarship is awarded
• Arrive with and maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA

SCHOLARSHIP DAY: AUDITIONS AND INTERVIEWS
Saturday, February 13, 2016
All incoming and transfer students who wish to be considered for a theatre scholarship must submit an application
(see reverse) by Feburary 1 AND participate in the audition/interview process on campus on February 13, 2016 .
Prospective students who are unable to participate in the scheduled audition/interview should make arrangements
for an alternate audition/interview appointment.
ACTING/PERFORMANCE STUDENTS:
Prepare two short contrasting monologues or a monologue and 16 bars of song- each piece approximately one minute in length. If singing, please bring your own accompaniment. A sound system will be available to play recordings
(CD, computer, or iPod/iPhone).
In addition, please bring a theatrical resume and a brief statement about your theatre interests and career goals.
TECHNICAL, DESIGN, STAGE MANAGEMENT, DIRECTING, PLAYWRITING, HISTORY/LITERATURE STUDENTS:
Bring any written and/or visual materials that will help our faculty to understand your experience and interests. Each
student will have a few minutes to present and discuss their work and observe other students’ presentations.
In addition, please bring a theatrical resume and a brief statement about your theatre interests and career goals.
*Students with multiple interests will be given the opportunity to present in all areas of interest.*

10:30AM: Auditions and Interviews Begin
12PM: Lunch (provided) and Q&A with faculty and students
1PM: Theatre Facilities Tour led by Current K-State Theatre Students
2PM: End of Scholarship Day
We encourage you and your family to attend our performance that evening. Tickets are complimentary.
7:30PM: Peformance of Forward by Chantal Bilodeau in Purple Masque Theatre in West Stadium
