The meeting was called to order by Chair A. Lawson at 11:10 a.m. in
Academic Affairs Conference Room, Library 4164.
1. Minutes. MSC to approve of minutes of 11/18/11
2. Agenda.
MSC to approve the agenda as distributed.
3. Communications and announcements – Employers Speak on
Liberal Education Webinar Feb 29th.
4. Course Proposal: Phil 123 - MSC. The committee does not feel the
course is appropriate for area IB, but would entertain a revised
proposal for the course in area IC
5. GE Writing Requirements Policy – MSC to approve final edits to
Policy and forward to Executive Committee
6. GE Program Description – Revisions to GE program description will
be sent out to committee members for review and additional edits
before next meeting.
MSC to adjourn at 11:55p.m.
The next scheduled meeting of the General Education Committee will be
Feb 10, 2012, 11-1pm.
