It never ceases to amaze me how so many different people with so many different backgrounds and
stories can come together and simply coexist. Fresno State has truly been a place where all things are
possible, no matter who you are or where you come from. There is a place for everyone. Our marginal
differences serve as no barrier to our success. Let today serve as a beacon of hope for years to come and
a door of opportunity for future leaders. The limits to what we’re able to achieve pooling our talents and
abilities together and lending a helping hand to those who need it; those limits are immeasurable. From
the depths of our failures to the peaks of our success three words seemed to prevail time and time again:

My fellow Bulldogs, I would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving you. I have been involved in
ASI for the past two years, first as a student researcher surveying campus-wide student perceptions and
currently as the Senator for the College of Social Sciences. I have worked closely with our executives,
senators, and campus administration, all of whom have given me the experience and keys necessary to
succeed as your ASI President. I am committed to addressing the increased financial burden of students,
campus health awareness, and campus-wide sustainability efforts. I will continue to strive to make a
positive impact on our campus by being accessible to every student, voicing your concerns, and
addressing your needs to make our great campus even better. I hope I have your support and your vote,
thank you and Go Dogs!
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE CANDIDATES
NICHOLAS R. STEPHENS
My name is Nicholas Stephens and I am running for ASI’s Vice President of Finance. I am pursuing a degree in Political Science with minors in Economics and Graduate Business Prep. I have served on ASI for
two years in various positions including a member of President Menchaca’s Cabinet, a member of the ASI
Legal Committee, and currently serve as the ASI Executive Vice President. My experience in
overseeing the internal operations of ASI as the EVP has led to collaboration with our current Vice
President of Finance and the Finance Committee where my interest to run was sparked. I would like to
continue the work being done to fund student programs and allocate student funds wisely. My
involvement as President of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, Director of Finance for the Fraternal Values
Society, and my understanding of ASI best qualify me for this position. Go Dogs!
VICE PRESIDENT OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS CANDIDATES
CONNOR ESRAELIAN
I have plenty of experience serving in leadership positions. I was Student Body President at my high
school, President of the Honors Society at Fresno City College, and serve on the ASI Personnel Committee
here at Fresno State. There are three main issues I want to tackle once elected:
1. Preparing Students for Life After College
2. Improving Communication between Students and the University
3. Parking
So how do I plan to actually make these changes? Great question. As VP of External Affairs, I get the
chance to talk with students and administrators from every CSU campus and discuss common issues. This
way, we can see how other campuses are solving these problems and bring real solutions back to Fresno
State. As a student body, we can accomplish great things. It’s time to make our voices heard and create
real change, not just talk about it. Go Dogs!

ASI elections will be hosted online. Here is what you need to know to cast your vote!
Each Fresno State student eligible to vote in the 2016-2017 ASI Elections will receive a unique username and password via email on Tuesday,
March 15. This login information is necessary in order to access the ballot and to cast a vote. Please do not delete the email with your
username and password until after you have completed the ballot. If by chance you misplace your login information, please contact the ASI
office at 559.278.2656 and a staff person will be able to assist you. Voting for the 2016-2017 ASI Elections will be strictly online and only
available during polling dates and times. This year’s elections will be held Tuesday, March 15 at 9 a.m. through Thursday, March 17 at noon.
Please make sure to check your email for your login information and a link to the ballot. Results are scheduled to be announced Thursday,
March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Free Speech Platform or whenever the the League of Women Voters is finished tallying the votes. ASI Election
results are considered final twenty-one days after results have been posted. The 2016-2017 student body representatives will assume office
June 1, 2016.

16 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Students who print or screen shot their voter confirmation page may redeem for 1 free full-sized pack of Skittles
