Absent (5): P. Burnell, J. Chrest, C. Grice, M. Lewis, F. Sperman
* Don Becker from the KSU Union was voted in by the Senate to represent the Local Agencies.
II. Gary Leitnaker: Not present. No report.
III. Approval of June 28, 2000 Senate Meeting minutes were unanimously approved after corrections noted.
IV. Budget Report, A. Treinen. No report.
V. Standing Committee Reports
A. Codes & By-Laws, A. Treinen: No report.
B. Education & Enrichment, S. Taylor: Sixty-six tuition reimbursements applications were received. The committee met and
decided to splits the $25,000 into $11,000 for the fall semester, $3,000 for the winter intersession, and $11,000 for spring
semester. Approximately two-thirds of the applicants were undergraduates, and one-third were graduate students.
C. Election Committee, G. Jackson: Only 1 ballot received by campus mail. Departments will be contacted to request
nominations for senators.
D. Personnel/Benefits, C. Kissee: No report.
E. Publicity, M. Garner: No report.
F. Recognition Ceremony, S. Adams: Sandi sent a letter to Bernard Pitts at the KSU Union to thank him for contributing to the
success of the recognition ceremony.
VI. Campus Committee Reports
A. Recycling, M. Lewis: No report.
B. Peer Review, J. Yonning, and C. Kissee: No report.
C. Recreation Counsel, C. Kissee: No longer on the council.
D. Parking (Sub-committee of Planning & Development Infrastructure), C. Kissee: No report.

A. Planning on September 25 as Legislative Day in the Hemisphere Room in Hale Library.
