Call for papers Global Re-Ordering: Towards The Next Generation of Scholarship GR:EEN is a European funded integrated research project designed to study the way in which Europe can ensure that its ideas, interests and influence play a role in the ongoing transformation of the global order. The project has both inward and outward dimensions: inward focussing on how networks influence the emergence of European governance modes, and outwards in terms of how Europe interacts with other international actors to shape governance structures at the global level. Full details of the project and its findings/publications to date are available at www.greenfp7.eu As the project comes closer to its end (in February 2015) it is important not just to look back to what we have found, but also to look forward – to how the GR:EEN research agenda might be taken forward by the next generation of scholars. The GR:EEN Next Generation conference will be held in Brussels on 18-20 November 2014. It will comprise of three elements: Papers by GR:EEN researchers on the key findings of the project Papers by PhD students and recent graduates on research related to the GR:EEN research agenda Career development sessions on European funding, article writing, and how to publish your manuscript We welcome paper proposals from advanced doctoral students and recent graduates who will have held their degree for no longer than two years in 2014. Papers can cover any theme that talks to the GR:EEN research agenda and we encourage prospective applicants to visit our web page to gain a fuller understanding of the project. Paper titles and abstracts of no more than 300 words should be sent to Rachel Hitchcox (r.j.moy@warwick.ac.uk) by 1 May 2014. We are able to cover the economy travel costs of successful applicants, and provide accommodation for three nights in Brussels.
