February 12, 2015 1:22 PM Fulbright U.S. Scholar Competition Now Open Fulbright Scholar Program The 2016-2017 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Competition is Now Open Here is a great opportunity for U.S. faculty and professionals to apply for the Fulbright Scholar Program. Deadline for most awards is August 3, 2015. More information below: The Fulbright Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries for the 2016-2017 academic year. Opportunities are available for college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others. In addition to several new program models designed to meet the changing needs of U.S. academics and professionals, Fulbright will be offering more opportunities for multi-country grants through enhanced global and regional awards. Interested faculty and professionals are encouraged to learn more about that nearly 600 core Fulbright U.S. Scholar opportunities by visiting the online Catalog of Awards or by participating in one our webinars. The application deadline for most awards is August 3, 2015. For eligibility requirements and other program information, please visit our website. Also note that 900+ Visiting Fulbright Scholars are hosted annually by higher education institutions around the United States. The Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF) is a travel grant that facilitates short term (two to six days) campus visits to additional U.S. academic institutions. OLF recipients share their research interests, speak on the history and culture of their home countries, and exchange ideas with other scholars, students and members of the wider community.
