Upgrade all outdated classrooms to be compatible to current technology
CURRENT CHALLENGE:
I have a class in FFS208A. Though it is listed as a Smart Classroom, it is not upgraded to be compatible with current
technology. Classroom and Video Services says it is not their classroom to manage, that it is a Department issue. My
bold idea is that every classroom be upgraded to the best possible technology so that all students and faculty have
equal access to tools available. As it stands, I cannot use my laptop in the classroom because of outdated equipment.
Be bold. Give equal access to all faculty and students in every classroom
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
Upgrade all outdated classrooms to be compatible to current technology. I use a MacBook issued to me by the
university. The classroom should support the equipment provided.
BENEFITS TO FRESNO STATE:
Students will have a greater outcome if they receive a higher quality of instruction. Fresno State graduates who
succeed benefit our university every day. When our students begin their professional lives, it should be with a history
of extraordinary learning via the highest technological means available. This will equip them to compete on equal
footing in a challenging job market.
