Subject: ITU Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Workshop – 3 to 5 June 2013, Paramaribo, Suriname
Dear Sir/Madam,
With the kind collaboration of the Government of Suriname the International Telecommunication Union is pleased to invite you to an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Workshop which will be held form 3 to 5 June
2013 in Paramaribo.
With the massive deployment of internetrelated resources worldwide and the integration of IP enabled consumer devices connected directly to the network, the issue of the depletion of IPv4 (Internet Protocol, version 4) addresses is becoming pertinent. In addition to other features, IPv6 (Internet Protocol, version 6) with its 128 bit address space is aimed at addressing the current shortage of public IPv4 addresses.
However, the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is going at a rather slow rate.
This Workshop will provide information and training to participants with a view to adequately addressing this changing environment.
Mr Cleveland Thomas (cleveland.thomas@itu.int), the ITU’s Caribbean Representative, is at your full disposal should you require any further information.
Yours faithfully ,
