Use going to + infinitive
I’m going to visit Poland in the summer.
He’s going to work in Australia next year.

Remember to use the correct form of the
verb ‘to be’:
I am
You/we/they are
She/he/it is
Note: These forms are often shortened:
I’m you’re we’re they’re she’s he’s it’s

Use the present tenses of verbs:
present simple and present continuous
Her train leaves at 9.30 tomorrow morning.
I’m meeting my cousin at the weekend.

Use want to + infinitive:
I want to travel in the future.
She wants to come here next summer.
Use would like to + infinitive:
I would like to go to university next year.
I’d like to visit Poland in the summer.
He’d like to come here next week.

use ‘will’ when you make a decision
I’ll/I will phone you tomorrow.

use ‘will’ when you are thinking about the
future/‘predicting’ the future
Maybe I’ll/I will be able to meet you next week.
