Process
• The director will send an introductory email welcoming student mentees with an
overview of the program and a request to meet with them for a group orientation.
• Students will be asked to articulate their aspirations/goals. It’s fine if they are still trying
to figure this out.
• During their initial meeting, the mentor and mentee will develop a mutually agreeable
terms—goals, meeting times, expectations, etc.
• Mentees will be assigned to a faculty/staff mentor for one academic year. If the
relationship is beneficial, we encourage them to continue it. Mentees have the option to
request a change in assigned mentor (via the program director).
