Early Years Matters Survey analysis 1. Introduction A satisfaction survey was conducted in the autumn 2015 edition of Early Years Matters. The purpose of the survey was to determine the value placed by readers of the magazine on its value. 2. Response rate • 87 valid responses were received. This represents a 1.4% proportion of the number of settings that receive the magazine in hard copy; and a smaller proportion of the total readership of the magazine. • Responses were received from 25/31 authority areas (Clackmannanshire and Stirling are combined). • Responses were received from: - Local authority early learning and childcare setting (26 responses) - Private/voluntary early learning and childcare setting (10 responses) - Primary school staff (6 responses) - Local authority officer (3 responses) - Other (37 responses) • Responses from those listed as ‘other’ were: - Care Inspectorate officer - Paediatrics - Playgroup - Early years training organisation - Board member - Church of Scotland Parent & Toddler Group - Early years teacher central support team - Early years charity support worker 1 | Early Years Matters – Survey analysis 3.
