ADOBE Software – take your membership to the next level with Adobe’s VIP select. (from Kathy Leonard, IT Licensing Specialist) A few of you have created your own college/department/unit VIP agreements for Creative Cloud, and that’s fine, especially the way Adobe started things. In the ensuing 2+ years, things have settled into a routine, of sorts. While it doesn’t appear there is enough use to merit moving to a University site license for Creative Cloud, ITS can (and will!) administer the licenses procured through us. I can’t give you exact prices because the price depends on when you start your subscription. Since our renewal date is August 7, the sooner-the-better AFTER the 7th of the month gets you the most bang out of that first month’s $$. Through August 7, 2016, we are at the Level 4 pricing due to a special we got in on when we first placed our order, and that applies to both Named and Device licensing. You are welcome to continue to set up your own VIP and fully administer it. Just know I can only look up information associated with the VIP I set up. If you set it up I have no way of knowing how many licenses or who you have assigned them to. I can’t remind you about renewals. Pricing is “Transactional” and 50 is the smallest increment where there’s the first price break. Unless you happen in on one of Adobe’s, a “new” VIP subscription license (Level I) is $378 (named)/$271 (device). That $378 comes out to $31.50/mo. Coming through the ITS VIP it will cost you $20ish/month. If you want to move your folks to the IT VIP group at your renewal time, that can happen – just let me know so we can make that happen BEFORE YOUR EXPIRATION DATE. There should be a small overlap (dates & $$), but we want to make sure your folks can keep working uninterrupted. SHI (contract #36093 ) and EnPointe (contract #36094) are to route requests for Creative Cloud back through me so I can make sure folks know the implications of setting up their own VIP. Questions?
