Awards – April 2010
Isidro Arguello There are a
handful of students that will
question everything, and he is one
of them. His desire to learn is clear
in his questions during class,
discussions held after class, and his
willingness to experience new,
challenging events in order to better
understand the world around him.
Sid's written assignments clearly
demonstrate his interest in the social
world, and his dedication to
furthering his education is reflected
in his academic, social, and
classroom pursuits.
Margo Manning has written
impressive, well-thought essays
about a variety of topics in
sociology. In addition, out-of-class
discussions with her demonstrate
her understanding of the material,
and she never shies away from the
difficult issues in sociology instead, she challenges her own
perspective, and writes from a
critical, engaged perspective.
CONGRATULATIONS
to these students for their
accomplishments!
Nick Mercado was accepted
into the K-State architecture
program.
Ricco Hall and Mary Jackson
were accepted into the
Developing Scholars Program.
Abraham Alem was awarded
the K-State Distinguished
Gentlemen award and was
granted permanent resident
status in the U.S.
Rose Djiofack was honored
with the Kansas State
Extraordinary Student Award.
