MINOR IN POLITICAL SCIENCE
The minor in Political science is intended for those who prefer to pursue another major but wish to increase their
knowledge of an area of activity that is a part of our lives at every turn. Through this minor the student has a
greater potential to achieve enlightened citizenship.
REQUIREMENTS
21 credit hours with grades of C or better and at least 12 credit hours unique to the minor.

Fifteen credit hours in courses with GOVT or SPA prefix, including at least nine credit
hours at the 300 level and at least three credit hours at the 400/500 level.

 3 credits from approved Transfer, Washington Semester Program, or AU Abroad may be used toward the minor.
1 credit courses (e.g. GOVT -282, -521, -524, or -485 or SPA -361 or -362) may not be used toward minor.
Internships are not approved for use toward the minor.
