Introducing New IPCR Graduate Advisor - Annie Belott
Dear IPCR students,
I am writing to provide an update on your transition to a new academic advisor. We are pleased to
welcome Annie Belott to the SIS Graduate Advising staff. Annie comes to SIS having most recently
worked as an undergraduate academic advisor in the College of Natural Sciences at the University of
Texas at Austin, where she also earned her Master of Education in Special Education. Annie is excited to
be “returning home” to the D.C. area and working with graduate students in SIS.
Annie will begin working with IPCR students starting Monday, June 1. Students can schedule an
appointment with Annie online at: https://sisgraduateadvising.youcanbook.me/ and she can be reached
via email at abelott@american.edu or phone at 202-885-1645. You will have the opportunity to meet
Annie in a more informal setting at an IPCR advisor meet-and-greet early in the fall once everyone is
back on campus (more info will be sent in August). New students will also have the opportunity to meet
Annie in person at SIS Graduate Orientation (Aug 27-28).
In the meantime, please join me in giving Annie a warm welcome to SIS and thanking Mary Barton and
Mike Rosenberger for their interim advising of IPCR students this past semester!
