Appendix I January 14, 2013 BOE Work Session At the meeting of the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education, the consensus of the Board is that Dr. Miller meet with Rowan County Board of Commissioners Chairman, Mr. Jim Sides to discuss the relationship they hope to have between both boards. The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education agreed that the following points are most important: 1. Respect 2. Mutual respect by both board’s 3. Communication 4. Open-mindedness 5. Listening to each other 6. Respect for differences 7. Consider all input 8. A clear understanding for what each board is responsible for 9. Acknowledge that the board’s are equal 10.
