environment. You’re looking for an interdisciplinary subject that
combines knowledge and skills from a variety of different fields.

Associate in Science degree program wants you

»» What is the role of human beings on Earth? It’s a broad question, right? As you work through the curriculum, you’ll find out
the answer and see how a number of disciplines come together to give it to you.
»» Environmental Science is a program that is starting to see a rise in popularity around the world. An information explosion
has occurred that will provide you with opportunities in many facets of the field.
»» NCC has articulation agreements with several colleges and universities so that you are assured easy transfer of your credits to
the four-year institution you select.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
»» What are the functions of living and nonliving systems and the role of humans in the environment? You’ll be able to answer
these questions and more as you advance through a curriculum that covers both biology and chemistry.
»» Get out of the classroom and get some fresh air! You’ll proficiently function in laboratory and field settings, demonstrating
proper field techniques and using modern scientific instrumentation.
»» You’ll conduct scientific inquiry and research on environmental topics as those topics relate to science, technology, and society.
