The Blue Book: an Integrated Maritime Policy for the
European Union
• Integrated Maritime Policy for the European Union, action plan will include:
• Creation of a European Marine observation and Data Network
in order to improve access to high quality data (EMODNET)
• Promote the multi-dimensional mapping of Member States‘ waters
• Launch a European Atlas of the Seas as an educational tool and as a
means of highlighting the common maritime heritage.
