Handbook
2015-2016
Dear Recruiters:
Whether you are a new or longtime recruiting partner, we appreciate
the opportunity to connect your organization with our students.
Employers know they can rely on exceptional results from USC
Marshall and USC Leventhal students. Our students are leaders who
also know how to be team players. In addition to the theoretical
knowledge accumulated through our rigorous curriculum, our
students have critical hands-on experience thanks to invaluable
internship opportunities at major national and international
companies. Our students are prepared to face real world
challenges through their work with case studies and participation
in case competitions, and are actively involved in various student
organizations.
Marshall’s Academic Strengths
Our students also bring a highly developed global perspective,
traveling overseas multiple times, learning abroad in exchange
programs, studying on a campus with one of the largest international
student populations of any American university, and living in the
most culturally diverse city in the nation. Because of these many
opportunities to interact with people and businesses from other
countries, our students demonstrate a global and entrepreneurial
mindset.
Popular minors for Accounting and
Business Administration students
We look forward to working with you to achieve your organization’s
recruitment goals. We are confident that our partnership with the
USC Career Center and our targeted career events for business and
accounting students will provide you with resources and services to
foster strong relationships within the USC Marshall and USC Leventhal
Trojan Family.
We look forward to welcoming you to campus this year.
Fight on!
Marshall School of Business
Undergraduate Student Services Office
The USC Marshall curriculum allows undergraduates to blend a professional school education with the
freedom to explore outside the boundaries of business by taking advantage of the course offerings at the
16 other colleges that comprise our prestigious University. Our innovative curriculum is based on the USC
foundation of “breadth with depth,” meaning students are encouraged to choose an area of business study
and pursue learning in an area outside of business. In addition to completing a set of core classes in business
fundamentals, students are free to choose 12 upper-level business units that can be taken in any of Marshall’s
seven departments. Many of our students are double majors or complete at least one minor.

By recognizing our unique and diverse student body, USC Marshall has fostered an
environment that encourages students to go beyond the boundaries of our business
major and acquire a breadth of understanding in various academic, professional and
cultural settings. I have tried to take advantage of every opportunity I can including
participating in Marshall’s international programs in China and Spain, pursuing two
minors in digital studies and health policy, and engaging with world leaders outside of
the classroom, such as Former President Bill Clinton and Elon Musk.
