majors or minors with questions about program requirements and the application process. Interested
students are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Marshall Information Sessions listed on our
website or to schedule an advising appointment well ahead of registration or other important dates.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MAJOR REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
 WRIT 150 (or WRIT 140 or WRIT130)

Students who wish to apply directly to the Accounting major must complete BUAD 285ab or 286ab (or

Admission to Marshall School of Business majors is competitive. Admission decisions are based
primarily on students’ academic performance at USC and the required coursework listed above.
In order to be competitive, students are advised to complete 16 units of academically rigorous
coursework in each term of enrollment; all courses should be taken for a letter grade.
MINORS IN THE MARSHALL SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

administration majors. Each minor provides a foundation in business concepts and practice, and a
Marshall minor can complement any USC major. All courses are taught by Marshall faculty members,

to Marshall majors. The following Marshall minors are available to students: Accounting, Business,
Business Law, Business Technology Fusion, Consumer Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource
