Before you tackle this Progress Test, make sure that you are familiar with all
the points so far covered especially in Lessons Four, Five, and Six. If
necessary, you can look at the Keys to your Activities
Please do not send answers to this Assignment to your Tutor. When you
have finished, compare your answers with the ones given at the back of the
pack.
The following exercises are written; try to do them without looking anything
up.

Replace the following verbs with verbs with the same meaning plus a
preposition and use them in sentences to bring out the meaning. Sometimes
there is a choice of meanings! The verb to use is given but you must fill in
the preposition:
Example: continue – go _______; the lesson goes on without interruption.

Fill in the gaps with the appropriate demonstrative pronoun or
adjective: sometimes there is more than one answer.
