NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by
clause(s) of Section 2 of
Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 read with sections 11 and 82(4) of the Himachal
Pradesh Police Act, 2007, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh in consultation with the
Director General of Police is
pleased
to declare the State Criminal Investigation
Department to be the Police Station Headquarters at Shimla with jurisdiction extending
to whole of the State of Himachal Pradesh to facilitate registration of cases to be
investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department.
2.
The Governor, Himachal Pradesh is further pleased to order that Criminal
Investigation Department shall register and take up investigation of all such cases
mentioned in Section 82(1) and section 82(2) of the Himachal Pradesh Police Act,2007
and in addition may register such cases as notified by the State Government from time to
time in accordance with section 82(1) of the said Act, with the aforesaid Police Station.
