Purpose
This assignment assesses your competency in the use of word processing programs such as
MS Word or OpenOffice / Libre Office word processing programs.
Although presenting a written report is often the last step in a data reporting project, we
start with this because it is usually the one office program or computing technique that all
students are familiar with.
This is a summative assessment of all the ‘Word’ skills listed in the skills checklist that your
teacher will give you at the start of the subject. This means that by successfully completing
this one assessment, you will have checked everything on the skills checklist.

You will receive (or download) a written report as a pdf file. The pdf report was written
using Microsoft Word 2010 and then converted to pdf.
The pdf file is provided as a visual guide of what you are meant to achieve in your word file.
Your assignment is to completely and accurately recreate the pdf document in word form.
You are graded based on the accuracy of the re-creation on the criteria listed in the Skills
Checklist (available from your teacher).
To perform this assignment properly you will require the following;

