RE: Funeral Notice – Mr. William H. Chapman
Retired English faculty member and interim head of English and Languages, Mr. William H. Chapman,
passed away on July 3. Mr. Chapman was a long-time resident of the community and an ardent
supporter of students, current and former. He was advisor to the Baptist Student Movement for years
including those in which the group won national honors.
The on campus memorial service will take place at All Faiths Chapel from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Friday,
July 11. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Baptist Church in
Hempstead.
