HBU visiting scholar Professor Jingwu Hu Returns to China Professor Jingwu Hu, faculty member from the Fine Art Department of Hebei University successfully completed his visit to Xavier University and returned home on August 29. During his visit, Professor Hu frequently interacted with the faculties and students and exchanged views and skills in art appreciation and creation. He demonstrated Chinese traditional art to the students and faculty members at the art village as well as to the public in the community at several events organized by the Confucius Institute and the Department of Art. Professor Hu also offered tremendous help to the Confucius Institute in organizing and preparing various events and his art demonstration was always the most popular at the events. During his stay, he also conducted research on New Orleans local art market and art education. “This visit is very rewarding,” said Professor Hu, “I am very lucky that I had this opportunity to visit Xavier University and know more about New Orleans.
