Applications are invited for the following posts for Indian Council of Medical Research-funded
project titled “Nodal coordinating centre for surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in
Staphylococcus and Enterococcus species”, Department of Microbiology, JIPMER, Puducherry605 006.
1) Laboratory Technician - No. of posts: 1
Eligibility criteria:
Educational
Qualification:
Graduate
Technology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life
degree
Science
in
Medical
from
a
Laboratory
recognized
University/Institute.
Desirable
Qualification:
Knowledge/Experience
in
Medical
laboratory/molecular
techniques and basic computer applications.
Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.
Salary: Rs. 13,760/- per month
2) Junior Nurse - No. of posts: 1
Eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as
Science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board and diploma in Nursing ‘A’ grade
from a registered council.
Desirable Qualification: B. Sc. Nursing with 2 years of experience in a recognized hospital
with knowledge of basic computer applications.
Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years.
Salary: Rs. 13,760/- per month
The posts are time bound for a period of 1 year (likely to continue beyond 1 year).
Salaries are according to ICMR circular for the year 2013. They may be hiked upon approval of
revised salaries by competent authority.
Interested candidates can download the application form from the JIPMER, Puducherry website
and send the duly filled application form along with their bio-data via post at the given address on
or before 3rd October, 2015. The envelope should be labelled as “Application for (Name of the
post) ICMR-AMRSN Project”.
The last date of receipt of application form will be taken for calculation of age.
Eligible candidates will be called for written test/skill test followed by interview.
Date and venue of interview will be intimated through e-mail only.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
