ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE UNICEF PROJECT ENGAGEMENT UNDER “MULTI
SECTOR NUTRITION CAPACITY BUILDING INITIATIVE”
SENIOR CONSULTANT – CAPACITY BUILDING
NIRD&PR invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of
“Senior Consultant – Capacity Building Initiative” supported by an International
Agency. The position is purely contractual and project based.
Objective
To support developing, testing, evaluation and institutionalizing a Multi Modular Kit in select sector for Nutrition Capacity building among the officials
through NIRD&PR for State, District and Block officials of Ministry of Rural
Development and Pachayati Raj and six allied departments as well as Panchayati
Raj Institutions and women/community leaders.
Major Task to be accomplished
Desk review of domain experts/organizations working on multi-sectoral
integrated (food-nutrition-WASH-health) capacity building in South Asia and
India.
Desk review of curriculum and content developed for allied departments by
experts/organizations and interview with stakeholders to gain information and
materials.
Designing a need assessment of on requirement and gaps for a multi-sectoral
integrated (food-nutrition-WASH-health) capacity building co-ordinated and
completed with four SIRDs.
Development, testing, evaluation of multi-modular kits.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
A Masters degree/M.Sc in Public Health/Community Nutrition/Public Health
Nutrition/Home Science
At least 5 years work experience organizing training, monitoring and
evaluation of development project in the area of nutrition and allied sectors
Evidence of publications/Research in the relevant area
Desirable
Ph. D in the above stated subjects
Experience of working in UN/International projects
Proficiency in using computers
Good command in English and Hindi
Age: Below 45 years
Compensation: Monthly remuneration will be Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 90,000 depending
upon qualifications and experience in the relevant field.
Period of Engagement: Initial engagement will be for six months and extendable
based on the performance and co-terminus with the project.
