VANDERBILT UNIVERISTY MEDICAL CENTER: 2012 – 2015
National Children’s Study (NCS): The National Children’s Study was a 21 year longitudinal
study collecting child health measures data for 100,000 children across the United States. This
was a National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) contract to build
and maintain a Data Coordinating Center for 10 study locations with a custom Information
Management System. Responsibilities included:

Overseeing all operations for 13-person team

Managing relationships with NICHD program officers and contractors at
organizations such as Westat, RTI International, Social and Scientific Systems

Supervising SAS data team members and program coordinators

Data and Organization for Translational Science Center (DOTS): This is a center I co-founded
that provided primary investigators with access to customized solutions for multi center:
clinical trials, coordinating centers and data coordinating centers. Responsibilities included:

Meeting with primary investigators about project proposals

Writing and proofing grant and contract text

Drafting and reviewing project budgets

Project managing data coordination center deliverables
STATISTICIAN II, CENTER FOR IMPROVEMENT AND PROGRAM EVALUATION
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY: 2011- 2012
Improving Deployment-Related Primary Care Provider Assessments of PTSD and Mental Health Conditions: This
project provided an evaluation of the US Department of the Army program to improve PTSD and mental health
conditions detection. Responsibilities included:

Conducting analysis for publications, quarterly and annual reports using statistical models such as
mediation models, Poisson regressions and logistic regressions etc.

Dataset preparation of medical record data using SAS, R and SPSS
Improving Principal Leadership with Feedback and Coaching: This project provided 18 new
school principals in Fulton County, Georgia with on-going feedback using the Contextualized
Feedback System (CFS). Responsibilities included:

Programming statistical models such as hierarchical linear model (HLM) and longitudinal HLM growth
model

Dataset preparation using SAS
GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, CENTER FOR IMPROVEMENT AND PROGRAM EVALUATION

Impact Analysis of Metro Parks Afterschool Programming: This project provided a cost-benefit analysis of an
afterschool program designed to improve physical activity in youth. Responsibilities included:

Supporting lead statistician in basic cost-benefit analysis using Excel

Contributing to results section and final editing of the published paper (citation below)

Compiling database of relevant literature and rough draft of text for literature review
Madre Sana Bebe Sano I & II: This project supported the development of healthy postpartum maternal weight
loss and infant feeding (related poster citation below). Responsibilities included:

Supporting lead statistician in writing portions of SAS code for analysis

