As an enthusiastic geologist I offer main skills and interests in structural geology,
tectonics, geochronology, mineralogy and petrology as well as in general / physical
geology and sedimentology. Being a team player, I enjoy fieldtrips and mapping
camps since my diploma studies.

WORK
HISTORY
(1st of March 2016)
Sep. 2014 to present
Currently I work in the Earth Sciences Department at the Sultan Qaboos University as
Assistant Professor and teach Structural Geology I and II as well as field mapping
classes. The outstanding geology of the Sultanate Oman provides me the possibility to
investigate the geodynamic evolution of the Oman Mountains by structural geology in
combination with field work and mapping.
Freie Universität Berlin, Germany
Jan. 2013 to Sep. 2014
I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the tectonics group of the Freie Universität
Berlin. My task was to focus on the structural / geodynamic lithospheric-scale
evolution of the Namche Barwa Syntaxis (Himalaya). In addition, I taught several
seminars, labs and fieldtrips for undergraduates and graduates.
Freie Universität Berlin, Germany
Oct. 2008 to May 2013
I worked at the Freie Universität Berlin as researcher (PhD candidate). This work
included teaching for undergraduates and graduates in the field of tectonic and general
geology. During that time I participate on a workshop of Exxon Mobil about sequence
stratigraphy in siliciclastic systems.
Universität Potsdam, Germany
