1. Essential Themes
Criteria - Clubs will be assessed on the following:
1.1 Training essential
1.1.1: At least one executive from each club must have completed the online ‘Essential Skills’ training
1.1.2: At least one executive from each club must have attended Equality and Diversity training
1.1.3: Any member of the exec with financial responsibility must have attended the appropriate financial
training provided by Warwick SU
1.1.4: At least two club members must attend Sports Council meetings
1.1.5: A Warwick Sport and Warwick Student Union (SU) club code of conduct should be signed for each

1.2.1: Clubs must have selected their new executive committee by the end of Term 2. The new committee
does not have to be in control of the club but must have been elected.
1.2.2: Clubs must attend Handover training
1.2.3: Clubs can show higher standard of handover by producing a handover document
1.2.4: Clubs can also show a higher standard by setting up generic or individual meetings with the new
executive committee members

1.3 Financial Health
1.3.1: Clubs must be in good financial health during the course of the year
1.3.2: Good financial management, such as clearing club debts will be taken into account
1.3.3: Clubs must ensure they are adhering to Charity Law and involve RAG with any fundraising

1.4 Membership
1.4.1: The minimum membership number of any club is 30
1.4.2: The minimum number of active members for any club is 15
1.4.3: Clubs can show a higher standard with a larger and/or diverse membership
1.4.4: Clubs can also show a higher standard by having a high percentage of active members

1.5 Good Governance
1.5.1: Clubs must have all key executive positions filled – including President and Treasurer. A member of the
exec must also be responsible for Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety respectively.
1.5.2: Clubs must have an up to date constitution that is accessible to members
1.5.3: Clubs must have an up to date club specific code of conduct that is accessible to members – this will
include reference to adhering to the following Warwick SU policies; Adoptions Policy, Responsible Drinking
Policy and Social Media Policy
1.5.4: Clubs must have a health and safety policy in place containing risk assessments, event planning
procedures and any National Governing Body (NGB) specific criteria
1.5.5: Clubs must have attended at least one club development meeting in this academic year
1.5.6: Poor behaviour at any point in the year will have a detrimental effect on this category – complaints
made against club, incident reports from campus security and disciplinary investigations will be considered
